Providence Medical Center (PMC) is seeking a full time day shift Cardiac Cath Lab/IR Technologist!
We are seeking a Cardiac Cath Lab/IR Technologist, internally referred to as our Cardiac Catheterization Lab Technician at Providence Medical Center (Kansas City, KS), a member of Prime Healthcare. Cardiac Cath Lab/IR Techs assist Cardiologists and Cardiology RNs by offering direct care to patients with acute or chronic cardiovascular diseases. They may use electrocardiograms, stress tests, and vascular monitoring to evaluate the heart health of our patients. This position is a full time day shift position. Hours: 730 - 1700
Under the general direction of the physician, the Cath Lab/IR Tech duties include, but are not limited to:
- assist by scrubbing procedures or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data, as related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab
- ensures procedure room is adequately prepared for the procedure
- monitors par level of all instruments and supplies
- participates in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities and the training of new staff
- assists in all aspects of invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures.
Qualifications
Education and Work Experience
- ARRT-R and license as required by State or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), required
- previous experience in a Cardiovascular Lab, preferredy
- Cardiovascular Technologist training program with emphasis in invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring, preferred
- BLS (AHA) required upon hire and maintain current
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); required within 30 days of hire
- proficient computer skills
