Responsibilities
We are seeking a Hospital Maintenance Technician II (nights), also referred to as our Maintenance Worker or Maintenance Specialist, at Providence Medical Center, a member of Prime Healthcare in Kansas City, KS. A Hospital Maintenance Tech is responsible for maintaining and repairing non-medical equipment like HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and facility structures to ensure the hospital operates safely and efficiently. They perform routine inspections, respond to emergencies, and ensure compliance with safety codes to support patient care and hospital operations.
Bonus Options: up to $5,000 (paid out as stipends every 90 days)
Shift’s Available: Nights ($2/hour differential in Pay)
Employment Type: Full Time
Hours: 8 hour shift

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):
- Repair & Maintenance of Equipment including: mechanical, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, medical gas, and plant infrastructure—while troubleshooting issues using schematics and blueprints.
- Preventative Maintenance: Doing regular inspections and checks to prevent breakdowns, like lubricating motors, testing generators, or checking emergency lighting.
- Facility Upkeep: Things like patching walls, painting, installing fixtures, or even minor carpentry or electrical work.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure a safe working environment by maintaining accurate equipment logs, adhering to safety standards, and driving as needed for company business.

Education and Work Experience
- 1 to 2 years’ experience, required
- high school diploma or equivalent, required
- valid state driver’s license, required
