Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
- Monitor and record patients’ vital signs, such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
- Provide basic patient care, including feeding, positioning, and assisting with ambulation.
- Prepare patients for examinations and surgical procedures, ensuring they are comfortable and informed.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to support patient care plans.
- Assist in the administration of prescribed treatments and medications under RN supervision.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient care environment.
- Respond promptly to patient needs and call lights with compassion and professionalism.
Education and Work Experience
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, required.
- Current BLS within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
- Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
- Minimum six months’ previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.
