We are currently in search of a Front Office Specialist for our Waynesville location.
Waynesville Healthcare, like all Providence primary care practices, is a recognized Patient-Centered Medical Home, and focuses on building lasting patient relationships based on trust and continuity of care.
What you will do:
Under supervision of the Site Supervisor, the FOS is typically the first point of contact (via phone and in-person) for the office. You will provide a wide variety of administrative support duties including but not limited to:
Job Duties:
- Greets patients and visitors in a courteous and friendly manner
- Answers telephone calls, schedules appointments, and completes referrals
- Verifies patient demographics and insurance information and ensures information is up to date and accurate
- Collects co-payments and outstanding patient balances
- Ensures patients are scheduled for follow-up appointments and annual well visits
- Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy.
- Any other duties relating to the business operation of the medical practice that may be assigned by the provider or site supervisor.
Job Requirements:
- Completion of a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous front office experience or background in general office work.
- Ability to comprehend established office routines and policies.
- Learns quickly from oral and written instructions.
- Ability to operate a computer.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Knowledge of CPT & ICD-10coding.
- Understand HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability)
- Good organization skills
- Tact and diplomacy
