We are looking for an experienced PLC Automation Programmer (HMI / PLC / SCADA) to join our expanding team. The Automation Programmer will handle all programming, configuration, and communication services using equipment and software from various HMI, SCADA, and PLC manufacturers, as well as different communication protocols. This is a direct-hire role based in Austin. In the position, you will be eligible for competitive compensation, excellent benefits, 401k match, and bonus potential. Responsibilities :
Provide PLC configuration and programming services for new installations, maintenance, and improvement projects across various platforms like Allen-Bradley, Schneider Electric, Siemens, GE PAC Systems, SCADAPack, etc.
Deliver SCADA programming services using platforms such as Wonderware InTouch, Trihedral VTSCADA, Rockwell Software PlantPAX, Schneider Electric ClearSCADA, and GE iFix.
Conduct HMI programming services for manufacturers like Allen-Bradley PanelView Plus, Maple Systems, AVG, and others.
Perform Factory Acceptance Testing with clients and engineers.
Execute site commissioning services, including field I / O verification and system communications.
Ensure client expectations are met and maintain good relations with clients and vendors.
Create and understand drawing packages, including Electrical Schematics, Panel Layout Drawings, Communication Drawings, Loop Drawings, and others as needed.
Develop Control Narratives and Function Strategies for use in Submittals and O&M Manuals.
Create support documentation for project completion and verification, such as documented software applications, I / O Lists, and Test Reports for O&M Manuals.
Required Skills & Experience :
Experience with automation controller systems such as Allen Bradley, Siemens, Schneider Electric (Modicon), and GE PLC systems.
Familiarity with various HMI and SCADA systems like Aveva / Wonderware, FactoryTalk View ME / SE (including PlantPAX), and Inductive.
Field experience in panel checkout and loop checks.
Proficiency in troubleshooting, startup, and commissioning services.
Project management experience in programming-exclusive projects.
