A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A LEASING CONSULTANT

As a Leasing Consultant, you are the first point of contact for our future residents. You welcome them to our residential community and provide them with all the necessary information about their prospective new home. You also assist residents down the road when they have questions or concerns about their apartment or monthly statement. Whether interacting with prospective residents, current residents, past residents, or fellow co-workers, your warm, friendly demeanor makes everyone feel at home.

Using your excellent communication skills, you listen carefully and provide clear answers to questions. You use your marketing and sales skills to show apartment units to prospective residents, and you are sure to point out all the reasons that our apartments are a great place to call home. You run applications needing to be processed. Once the decision is made, you patiently help the residents complete all of the new lease paperwork, always paying careful attention to detail. You also assist in maintaining the clerical and recordkeeping systems at the office. You handle the turnover of apartments and move-in and move-out procedures appropriately. You get great satisfaction out of making our residents feel like part of a true community!

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A LEASING CONSULTANT

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years of experience in leasing
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Reliable transportation
  • Strong closing skills

One year of customer service experience and familiarity with Yardi software is preferred. Sales experience would be a plus. Are you organized and able to manage time and prioritize effectively? Do you have experience in property management? Can you represent our company in a professional manner? Would you like to be part of a dynamic and innovative team? WORK SCHEDULE FOR A LEASING CONSULTANT

This full-time residential position typically works Monday - Friday, and most Saturdays and/or Sundays. If working on a Saturday or Sunday, you would get another day off during the week.
