Senior Clinical Nurse Specialist Job Description:
This position is responsible for providing expert clinical care to patients in the Emergency Department, as well as educating and mentoring other nurses to enhance their skills and knowledge. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in nursing and current APRN certification, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in emergency nursing.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to emergency department patients, utilizing advanced clinical expertise to assess, diagnose, and treat complex medical conditions.
- Develop and implement evidence-based practice guidelines to improve patient outcomes and reduce lengths of stay.
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
- Educate and mentor junior nurses to develop their skills and knowledge in emergency nursing.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance patient care.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Master's degree in nursing from an accredited program.
- Current Oregon RN licensure and APRN certification.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in emergency nursing, with a focus on critical care.
