Associate Pharmacy Technician - Alaska Medical Center

Description

The Acute Care Pharmacy Tech I performs duties relating to the filling and dispensing of unit dose and stock medications from the pharmacy to the nursing units and other ancillary departments in a prompt accurate manner. Fill / dispense oral and IV medications, triaging patient orders and maintaining the integrity of the automated dispensing system.

Required Qualifications :

H.S. Diploma or GED

Alaska Pharmacy Technician License upon hire

National Pharmacy Technician certification (i.e. PTCB) where applicable by state

Preferred Qualifications :

Coursework / Training : Pharmacy technician program (may be required in some states for technicians)

Inpatient experience

Previous experience with Automated Dispensing Machines (ADMs) and electronic health records (EHR)
