What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supervisor Echocardiology *Full-time / Day position at Providence Service?
Description
Supervises and coordinates daily operations of the Cardiology Department, in conjunction with the Manager of Cardiovascular Services / Nurse Manager, in order to ensure efficient operations and competent skill levels. Is responsible for QI program development, implementation and follow-up. Is responsible for recruitment and orientation of new employees as well as maintaining employee files, work schedules, annual reviews and competency testing. Is a source of technical expertise in equipment needs. Is responsible for all duties of a registered Echocardiographer as outlined in the Echocardiographer job description.

Required Qualifications :
- Coursework / Training Completion of an AMA accredited Echocardiogram program (minimum of one year in length)
- Upon hire : National Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography Or
- Upon hire : National Certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International Or
- Upon hire : National Certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
- Upon hire : National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- 2 years Recent full time experience in Echocardiography.
- 1 year Experience in acute care hospital setting
