The Biomed Tech II provides technical support for the Alaska Service Area and Shared Resources accounts. This technician tests, diagnoses problems, repairs, calibrates, certifies, installs and performs preventive maintenance on clinical and non-clinical electronic and electro mechanical equipment. Performs maintenance and upgrading of major electronic systems and supports the technical operation of those systems. Provides clinical and technical education to the staff of Providence and Shared Resource accounts. Assists in the development of preventive maintenance procedures for new and existing equipment. Utilizes computerized maintenance management software to document maintenance performed.

Required Qualifications

  • Specialized training in the field of electronics, normally acquired through a two-year vocational course or
  • Associate's Degree Specialized training in the field of electronics.
  • Additional advance training is required on electronic systems normally acquired from manufacturer training programs.
  • 4 years Biomedical Technician.
  • Required upon request: Driving may be necessary as part of this role. Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving. Caregivers will be expected to provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request. See policy for additional information.

Pay Range: $ 41.60 - $ 62.39

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
