The End User Computing team has an opening for a Principal Client Engineer. This position reports directly to the Manager of Infrastructure Engineering. The Principal Client Engineer is responsible for establishing the systems and processes required to define, implement, and track configuration of the client computing environment at Providence Health Plan.
This individual must effectively collaborate with different business and IT groups across the organization to design and deliver a progressive, high-quality client architecture that complies with security, software/hardware standards, and applicable regulations. This includes physical, virtual, and mobile client solutions.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent educ/experience
- 6 years Systems integration and engineering experience with SCCM, software packaging, patch deployment, configuration management and systems management
- 8 years experience managing an environment of 4,000 distributed client systems with an enterprise management technology such as Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2012, Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Workspace One, etc.
- 8 years experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy
- 6 years Hands-on experience with Advanced Group Policy Management (AGPM)
- 10 or more years experience with a broad range of desktop hardware, client virtualization, and mobile platforms such as smartphones and tablets
- 6 years enterprise desktop image management and development
- Master's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent educ/experience
- Certifications such as Microsoft AZURE, O365 Enterprise, Teams, PowerShell, SCCM, Intune are strongly preferred or equivalent experience in using/ supporting the tools
