Providence Title is currently seeking a driven candidate who will utilize their ample experience in escrow to excel as our new Escrow Assistant/Junior Closer. In this role, you'll be an essential part of our team, collaborating closely with experienced Escrow Officers to ensure the smooth processing of escrow transactions. Responsibilities for this support role include handling various administrative tasks, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines. Primary Responsibilities
Maintain regular office hours from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Assist Escrow Officers in processing title and commitment documents for closing transactions.
Monitor the status of title work and promptly submit documents to Escrow Officer for review.
Prepare files for closing by ensuring all documents are complete, accurate, and received on time.
Coordinate with various parties, including buyers, sellers, and lenders, to schedule closing times and obtain necessary closing papers.
Send completed commitment and all related documents to the buyer.
Manage post-closing activities, including funding files according to lender requirements and disbursing funds to involved parties.
Balance the file and cut checks to all involved parties, including but not limited to, sellers, payoffs, realtors, or any other specified parties, according to detailed file instructions.
Collaborate with Sales Representatives to coordinate delivery of client checks and handle post-closing interview sheets.
Complete final activities on files, including maintaining 1099 report, preparing submissions, recording legal documents, entering file in FileScan, locking the HUD, and waiting for recording information.
Seek guidance from the Escrow Officer to ensure compliance with all regulatory guidelines pertaining to the closing transaction.
Job Requirements
- Title industry experience as an Escrow Assistant (2 years preferred)
- Understands escrow standards, title clearance, real estate regulations and guidelines and document preparation
- Knowledge of SoftPro or similar title transaction software platform
- Positive attitude and desire to serve others
- Solid oral and written communication skills
- Organizational skills with strong attention to detail and time management
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work proficiently in deadline-driven environment
