Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

Description

Assists Occupational Therapist in the provision of interventions as identified on the patient's plan of care (i.e., interventions for self-care, functional movement, safety, home management, pre-vocational skills, cognition, strength, endurance, sensory/motor, fine motor coordination, balance, and other areas that enable a person to function at home and in community), as part of an interdisciplinary team. Provides care for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. Is proficient in required competencies.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: Graduate of / from an Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Upon hire: California Occupational Therapy Assistant License.
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
• 1 year Experience in a hospital setting as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Acute rehab experience.
• Experience with brain injury and neurological disorders.
