Job Title: Charge Registered Nurse (RN)
About the Role:
The Charge Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional, comprehensive nursing care for patients in an acute care environment.
This role is responsible for determining unit priorities for assigned timeframe with regard to patient care, patient flow (bed control), staffing and distribution of resources. Ensuring adherence to standards and regulations is also a key responsibility.
Key Functions:
- Deliver coordinated, safe, compassionate, therapeutic, evidence-based quality care to patients and families based on individual physical, emotional, and spiritual needs
- Practice in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act in the state of employment, the American Nurses Association (ANA) Code of Ethics for Nurses, and the ANA scope and standards of practice
Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program
- California Registered Nurse License upon hire
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
- 1 year Nursing experience with demonstrated leadership abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
- National Certification in area of specialty upon hire
