Assistant Nurse Manager Job Description:
We are seeking an accomplished Assistant Nurse Manager to oversee the nursing team at Providence Alaska Medical Center. This critical role involves providing high-quality patient care, leading the clinical team, and ensuring the effective operation of our department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Department Operations: Collaborates with management to coordinate daily department operations, supervise personnel, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Clinical Practice: Performs all duties in a manner that promotes the team concept and reflects the mission of philosophy of the Providence Health System.
- Leadership Development: Mentors under the Clinical Manager / Director, pursues management and leadership training within the Providence Alaska Learning Institute, and serves as a role model for nurses, physicians, and department support staff.
Requirements:
- Nursing Experience: Three years of clinical experience, including one year of supervisory or charge nurse experience, which may include leading teams in performance improvement activities.
- Licensure and Certification: Graduate of an accredited/approved school of Nursing, Alaska Registered Nurse License upon hire, and National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
- Educational Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (all registered nurses without a minimum of a bachelor's degree in nursing must obtain a bachelor's degree in nursing or higher within 30 months of hire).
