Description of Director, Clinical Education
The Director, Clinical Education is responsible for providing leadership in departmental operations and educational activities across the ministry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead staff members while providing direction, coaching, and mentoring.
- Create and monitor the ministry-focused education and professional practice budget.
- Develop strategy and implement tactical plans for achieving Pathway or Magnet recognition.
- Direct the organization's Pathway/Magnet process as the onsite resource for the ANCC recognition program.
- Foster collaborative relationships with ministry and regional leaders, outside agencies, academic partners, and other interprofessional partners.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing; or Master's Degree in Nursing, nursing education, education, business, or closely related field.
- California Registered Nurse License (Vendor Managed).
- Membership in at least one nationally recognized professional nursing organization.
- 2 years of experience in Nursing Education.
- 3 years of experience in acute care setting.
- 2 years of nursing management/leadership role.
- Leadership experience in achieving initial or re-designation as a Magnet facility (preferred).
