Health Information Management Representative

Description

The Documentation Rep- Plan of Care is responsible for creation and review of Plans of Care to ensure CMS program compliance is met. This position works closely with the Manager of Performance Improvement and Home Health leadership to promote regulatory compliance and excellent patient outcomes and reimbursement. The Documentation Rep - Plan of Care serves as a role model, consultant, auditor and POC developer expert to Home Health staff across the region. Work is completed in a manner that supports Health Information Management data integrity standards.

Required Qualifications:

• 2 years of experience in a team setting which may include participation in a healthcare-related college program.
• 6 months of the experience must be in a clerical or general office setting; clinical setting preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: Health Information Management, computer science, business, or related health care studies
• Coursework/Training: Medical Terminology
• OASIS Certification upon hire
• 6 months of experience with an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.

About the Team

Providence Home and Community Care (HCC) is a service line within Providence with over 8,000 caregivers and 2,000 volunteers serving nearly 200,000 people a year, in their homes, in clinics and in a variety of congregate living ministries across our seven-state footprint.
