Nurse Leadership Role:
We are seeking a seasoned Assistant Nurse Manager to lead our clinical team at Providence Alaska Medical Center. As a key member of our nursing leadership, you will contribute to the development of our nursing practice, advance our mission, and enhance patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Clinical Practice: Ensures delivery of patient care in a compassionate and ethical manner according to recognized standards and care models.
- Leadership and Team Management: Collaborates with management to coordinate daily department operations, supervises personnel, coordinates activities of Nursing, and performs all duties in a manner that promotes the team concept.
- Mentorship and Development: Pursues management and leadership training within the Providence Alaska Learning Institute, mentors under the Clinical Manager / Director, and serves as a role model for nurses, physicians, and department support staff.
Requirements:
- Nursing Experience: Three years of clinical experience, including one year of supervisory or charge nurse experience, which may include leading teams in performance improvement activities.
- Licensure and Certification: Graduate of an accredited/approved school of Nursing, Alaska Registered Nurse License upon hire, and National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
- Educational Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (all registered nurses without a minimum of a bachelor's degree in nursing must obtain a bachelor's degree in nursing or higher within 30 months of hire).
