This is a Nurse Manager opportunity at Providence Alaska Medical Center. We are seeking a leader who can promote accountability for nursing practice, clinical and workplace autonomy for nurses, and whole-person care built on understanding, commitment, and mutual respect.
About the Role:
We coordinate teams in delivery of patient care in a compassionate and ethical manner according to recognized standards and care models. This role exercises independent judgment with 24-hour accountability for clinical and operational issues for assigned units.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate team in delivery of patient care.
- Exercise independent judgment with 24-hour accountability.
- Promote accountability for nursing practice and clinical and workplace autonomy.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited/approved school of nursing.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
- Alaska Registered Nurse License.
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
- Certification in clinical specialty within one year of hire.
- Three years of recent management or supervisory experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree.
- Two years of Management experience in like-sized unit.
