What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Radiographer-Ultrasound position at Providence?
Job Description
This position requires the ability to perform all assigned duties and essential functions of at least two modalities, including Sonography, Mammography, Computerized Tomographic (CT) Scanning, or Radiologic Imaging.
The ideal candidate will have weekend and on-call coverage, as required.
Requirements
- Coursework/Training: Completion of an AMA accredited ultrasound program (minimum of one year in length) for Sonographers.
- Associate's Degree and completion of a related healthcare field for Sonographers.
- Coursework/Training: Completion of an American College of Radiology (ACR) approved mammography course for Mammographers.
- Coursework/Training: Completion of an ACR approved training program for Radiologic Technologists for Radiographers.
- National Registered Technologist - Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
Additionally, the ideal candidate will have 2 years of General sonography experience, recent ultrasound experience including abdomen, OB/GYN, vascular and small parts, and 1 year of work experience in CT.
