About the Job
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Certified Surgical Tech to join our team at St Jude Medical Center. As a member of our surgical team, you will be responsible for maintaining the operating room sterile field, passing instruments, sutures, and sponges during surgery, and ensuring proper sterile technique is utilized to prevent contamination and infection.
This is a full-time role working 12-hour day shifts. You will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic and compassionate team of caregivers who are dedicated to providing exceptional patient care.
Requirements
- A successful completion of a surgical/OR Tech training program.
- National Certified Surgical Technologist - National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting upon hire.
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
- 3 years Surgical/OR Tech experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 years Surgical/OR Tech experience.
- Prior experience in preceptor role.
