What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ultrasound Technologist position at Providence?
Job Summary:
This is a Per Diem opportunity for a Registered Sonographer. The successful candidate will perform and evaluate sonographic examinations, obtain clinical history and physical assessment of patient's condition to determine appropriate testing protocol.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform and evaluate sonographic examinations
- Obtain clinical history and perform physical assessment of patient's condition
- Determine appropriate testing protocol
- Provide technical interpretation of sonographic and physiologic data
Requirements:
- Graduate of accredited Diagnostic Sonography Program or Certification with American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography
- National Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer within 1 year of hire
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire
- 9 months - Ultrasound coursework experience in Abdomen, OB/Gyn including clinical rotation
Preferred Qualifications:
- 9 months - Ultrasound coursework experience in Breast, Vascular including clinical rotation
