What are the responsibilities and job description for the Youth Director position at Providence?
Primary Responsibilities and Duties
- Working with staff and volunteers to oversee faith formation of both congregations, especially for children, youth, and families; oversee recruiting, training, and organizing of volunteers for ministry in these areas. * Help to select, utilize, and develop curriculum with Sunday School programming and to build relationships with learners, families, and Christian Education committee members. * Assist in organizing and overseeing Sunday School for children and youth at each congregation, sharing time between the two congregations in terms of on-site Sunday morning presence. * Collaborate with leaders at each congregation in developing and carrying out their confirmation/catechism programs as needed * Help to develop a shared junior and senior high school youth group (perhaps beginning with one group for all ages grades 5-12 as it begins, and then dividing into separate groups at the point where critical mass of participants allows. We would see this beginning perhaps as a monthly group and moving toward bi-weekly or weekly gatherings as the program develops. * Helping to develop ministries and activities for families with children and cross-generational ministry. * Outreach to youth and families in the wider communities around both congregations, in both activities that are open to outside community youth and platforms like social media * Collaborate with staff and volunteers at both Providence and Community of Christ in planning and overseeing ministry and coordinating ministry calendar * Other duties as assigned

Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
