Position Overview
Assist in the preparation and compilation of the Company’s internal financial reports submitted to Executive Management and the Board of Directors and all public reports, including Forms 10-Q and 10-K in compliance with GAAP and SEC reporting regulations. Assist in maintaining, and supporting the Company’s financial reporting systems. Contribute to the analysis of annual and quarterly budget and forecasting submissions and reports along with collaborating with teams around the bank during profitability discussions.

Position Overview

Assist in maintaining, and supporting the Company’s financial reporting systems. Contribute to the analysis of annual and quarterly budget and forecasting submissions and reports along with collaborating with teams around the bank during profitability discussions.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Financial Reporting team to monitor the quarter and year-end closing process, to assist in facilitating the preparation of all SEC filings including reports on Form 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K, as required by compiling financial data and supporting schedules in support of required financial statement disclosures. This includes collaborating with the various segments of the Company, including Credit Administration, Loan Servicing, Treasury, Legal, Compliance, Internal Audit, Risk Management, etc.
- Assist in the preparation of a draft of Company’s quarterly Earnings Release and monitor and control review comments from management, outside legal advisors and the Company’s public accountants.
- Collaborate with the FP&A team to gather information to prepare the bank’s annual budget and contribute to the analysis of budget vs actual results including variance explanations per discussions with stakeholders.
- Contribute to quarterly business unit review meetings and be able to discuss trends, yields and general analysis of financial results in settings with the different production areas around the bank.
- Prepare monthly internal financial reports and conduct variance analysis which includes but is not limited to changes in net interest income, net interest margin, non-interest income and non-interest expense.
- Represent the accounting department in special projects and other duties, including supporting the Company’s suite of financial systems and assisting in reconciliations, as needed.
- Knowledge of Accounting, GAAP, and SEC Reporting.
- Knowledge of Workiva preferred, but not required.
- Proficient with MS Office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented and accurate.
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance. Master’s Degree a plus.
- 2 or more years prior professional experience in accounting/finance
