About the Associate Manager Position :
The Associate General Manager joins the leadership team to provide assistance in operating a first class causal dining seafood restaurant in a prompt, courteous, professional, and efficient manner.
The Associate Manager will assume the leadership role in the absence of the General Manager. This position is great for those restaurant professionals new to restaurant management (1-2 years experience) who seek to develop their skills, add to their experience and grow through the ranks to more senior positions in the restaurant.
Job Summary :
To assist the General Manager in a leadership / managerial role in operating a first class causal dining seafood restaurant in a prompt, courteous, professional, and efficient manner. The Associate Manager will assume the leadership role in the absence of the General Manager.
Sample of Some Duties :
- Ensures proper hiring, orientation, training, evaluating, mentoring, and coaching which will lead to employee and store success.
- Consistently supervises, manages, and inspects all hourly employees to ensure readiness and ability to perform to company standards.
- Ensures guest satisfaction through proper internal controls : employee interaction / engagement, pre- and- post quality controls, touching tables, and temperature- / portion / weight / delivery checks.
- Prioritizes employee, customer, and operational needs to ensure problems are handled quickly, effectively, and efficiently.
- Opens and closes the restaurant at a daily basis and preserves a safe, secure, and sanitary environment which fosters employee success.
- Promotes positive open communication in a team environment.
- Adheres to and displays company standards by personal example.
- Ensures timely personnel scheduling / cut backs to facilitate standard coverage and efficiency.
- Builds strong community relations through personal character in and outside of work.
- Reconciles daily cash receipts and equivalents according to set policy standards.
- Completes all necessary administrative office work and record keeping in an organized manner. Forwards all necessary documents to corporate on a timely basis.
- Inspects and administers employee uniform and personal hygiene standards.
- Abides by all federal and state governmental regulations and labor standards.
