Job Description
Provider Healthcare is seeking an exceptional Medical Oncology Physician to provide high-quality care to patients of all ages in a hospital and community health center setting.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop individualized treatment plans based on the patient's condition, stage of cancer, and other relevant factors.
- Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, hormonal therapy, and other advanced cancer treatments as appropriate, while closely monitoring the patient's response and adjusting treatment regimens accordingly.
- Provide compassionate care, support, and guidance to patients and their families throughout the entire treatment process, addressing their concerns, explaining treatment options, and discussing prognosis in a clear and empathetic manner.
- Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals, including surgeons, radiation oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, nurses, and other specialists, to develop comprehensive treatment plans, discuss complex cases, and ensure coordinated care.
- Serve as a strong advocate for patients, promoting their rights, ensuring access to quality care, and addressing ethical considerations related to cancer treatment and end-of-life care.
Requirements:
- Graduated from an accredited medical school with a MD or DO degree
- Current ID state medical license
- Completed an accredited residency program
- Current DEA certificate
- Board certified or eligible
- Current CPR certification
This role is a full-time position with a flexible schedule. The ideal candidate will have experience working with patients of all ages and be comfortable using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
