Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Psychiatrist to provide outpatient psychiatric services to all ages in a community health center based in Yuba City, California. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative team player who believes in patient-centered care and is a motivated leader.
Responsibilities:
- Provides direct psychiatric evaluation and evidenced-based pharmacologic treatment of patients with diagnostic or therapeutic challenges.
- Offers consultation to clinical staff and primary care providers regarding client care, treatment recommendations, and progress.
- Participates in Quality Assurance activities, including treatment Utilization Review, medication monitoring, peer review, procedures, and processes.
- Delivers in-service training for primary care based providers on best practices for recognizing and treating behavioral health conditions.
- Performs crisis interventions, including suicide assessments and making recommendations to medical providers and patients.
- Works in coordination with the Director of Psychiatry/Director of Psychology to ensure integration of services and a team-based approach to care.
- Maintains productivity expectations in accordance with clinic/program guidelines.
- Performs other job-related duties as needed, assigned, or requested.
