We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Technician for immediate hire. This is an onsite role that requires a proactive, hands-on professional who can efficiently manage IT operations while providing strategic guidance. The IT Technician will serve as the help desk, oversee developers and future IT staff, and be responsible for the installation, configuration, inventory, tracking, and purchasing of all technology equipment. This role will also handle service and support aspects of our technological infrastructure and act as a liaison to the Vice President of Data Systems and Integration, Network Operations. We want you to learn and grow with us as we expand our clientele, operations, and eventually transition to the cloud.
Key Responsibilities
- Help Desk Management: Provide first-line support for all IT-related issues and manage help desk activities to ensure timely resolution.
- Staff Oversight: Supervise developers and future IT staff, ensuring effective collaboration and productivity.
- Inventory and Procurement: Manage the inventory, tracking, and purchasing of all technology equipment to meet company hardware and software needs.
- Service and Support: Ensure the efficient operation and support of all technological systems and infrastructure within the company.
- Office 365 Administration: Handle extensive administration tasks within Office 365.
- Vendor Coordination: Communicate and work effectively with third-party vendors for various IT services and solutions.
Experience or Education:
Candidates should have one or a combination of the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Associate's degree in Networking or a related field
- Relevant certifications
- At least 3 years of professional experience in the field
Required Skills and Experience
- Windows Server Networking
- Extensive experience in Office 365 Administration.
- Proven ability to manage help desk operations and IT staff.
- Strong organizational skills for managing technology inventory and procurement processes.
- Effective communication skills for internal teams and external vendors.
- Experience with MikroTik and Fortinet.
- Understanding of SFTP servers.
- Knowledge of Ultatel VoIP systems and management.
- Experience with OpenVPN Access Server.
