Job Summary:
The Stop Loss Program Marketing Manager is responsible for managing the end-to-end process of sourcing and negotiating stop-loss coverage for self-funded employer groups. This role involves handling RFPs from brokers and employers, preparing and submitting documentation to multiple stop-loss carriers, and securing the best rates and terms. The manager will collaborate closely with brokers, carriers, and internal teams to ensure competitive and compliant stop-loss solutions are in place for all clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- RFP Management:
- Receive and review RFPs from brokers and employers to ensure all required information is complete and accurate.
- Prepare and distribute RFP documentation to stop-loss carriers, tailoring submissions as needed to meet carrier requirements.
Carrier Negotiations:
- Negotiate rates and terms with stop-loss carriers to secure the most competitive options for clients.
- Evaluate carrier proposals for pricing, terms, and compliance, providing recommendations to internal stakeholders.
Stop Loss Program Coordination:
- Maintain relationships with multiple stop-loss carriers to ensure a robust network of options.
- Stay updated on carrier-specific underwriting guidelines, pricing strategies, and policy changes.
Collaboration with Brokers and Employers:
- Serve as a primary point of contact for brokers and employers during the stop-loss selection process.
- Provide clear communication regarding stop-loss options, terms, and final decisions.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all stop-loss RFP activities in CRM systems (e.g., Zoho).
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to stop-loss shopping, such as savings achieved, turnaround times, and carrier response rates.
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to streamline the RFP and negotiation process to improve efficiency and outcomes.
- Collaborate with internal teams to implement best practices and optimize workflows.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Insurance, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in stop-loss marketing, underwriting, or a related role within a TPA, insurance carrier, or broker setting.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of stop-loss insurance, self-funded health plans, and carrier underwriting processes.
- Excellent negotiation and analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate proposals and pricing structures.
- Proficiency in CRM platforms and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple RFPs simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with multiple stop-loss carriers.
- Familiarity with Zoho CRM and project management tools.

Pay: $57,494.00 - $76,050.00 per year
