- Implement treatment plans designed by the licensed physical therapist to improve patient mobility, relieve pain, and enhance overall physical function.
- Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, stretches, and other prescribed activities.
- Monitor patient performance during therapy sessions and provide feedback to the supervising physical therapist.
- Educate patients and their families on at-home exercises and recovery strategies.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Accurately document patient progress and response to treatments.
- Maintain thorough records in compliance with legal and organizational standards.
- Communicate observations and patient concerns to the supervising physical therapist.
- Collaboration and Teamwork:
- Work closely with the physical therapy team to ensure a coordinated approach to patient care.
- Assist in maintaining therapy equipment and ensuring a clean and organized work environment.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to treatment planning and patient care discussions.
- Compliance and Professionalism:
- Adhere to all state and federal regulations governing physical therapy practice.
- Uphold organizational policies and standards of ethical care.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and maintain active licensure.
- Current state licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA).
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Experience preferred but not required. New graduates are welcome, and we are open to training.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations.
- Physical stamina to assist patients and perform therapy activities.
