Summary:
Our award-winning client is seeking a Director Systems Architecture to join their team. Lead the evolution of the client's enterprise application landscape as the Director of Systems Architecture. This pivotal role is responsible for the strategic design, implementation, and operational support of all enterprise applications, including SAP and related third-party systems. You will lead a team of architects and analysts, ensuring system integrity, efficiency, and alignment with business objectives. This position requires a leader with strong technical acumen, business acumen, and experience in managing complex IT projects and vendor relationships within a global organization. You will drive innovation, optimize cloud resource utilization, and ensure compliance with IT governance standards.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Enterprise Applications Functional team, including recruitment, performance management, coaching, development, succession planning, and engagement.
- Ensure the integrity, efficiency, and stability of all enterprise systems through sound design and best practices.
- Manage vendor relationships for all enterprise applications, including selection, evaluation, contracting, performance reviews, and license/SLA management.
- Optimize cloud resource utilization and spending through design and monitoring.
- Partner with business stakeholders and the PMO Director to influence and execute the project portfolio, maximizing business value and adhering to the systems strategy.
- Develop and implement a cohesive enterprise applications systems architecture strategy through architect-owned strategic roadmaps.
- Own the system architecture across all systems and products, understanding business drivers and capabilities to define ERP solution architecture and change requirements.
- Provide subject matter expertise and thought leadership on industry trends, methodologies, tools, and techniques.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all enterprise applications, covering configuration, functional and technical design, processes, testing, and other relevant areas.
- Lead the development of ERP governance structures aligned with business and IT strategies.
- Manage all enterprise application changes through a design review process, change control, and production support monitoring.
- Maximize system uptime by minimizing production issues and coordinating system outages.
- Develop and deploy the Enterprise Applications roadmap based on business needs and emerging technologies.
- Ensure compliance with all IT General Controls (ITGCs).
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 10 years of experience leading cross-functional, multi-discipline SAP teams.
- 10 years of experience as a functional or technical resource for SAP.
- Strong techno-functional knowledge of SAP applications (e.g., FICO, HANA, SD, MM, PP, PM, WM, Solution Manager, ABAP, BW, EDI).
- Experience with AWS or other cloud providers preferred.
- Experience with S4 and/or professional certification preferred.
- Experience managing VISA sponsorship processes.
- Strong strategic thinking, operational management, and communication skills.
