Position Purpose

Provisions Group is seeking a senior level Systems and Cloud Administrator for a full-time role. This role can work 100% remote. In addition to the technical capabilities, the ideal candidate will need to have excellent interpersonal skills. This role will be primarily serving external clients (consulting).

Core Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the daily system administration and strategic planning of Microsoft Azure and AWS infrastructure on behalf of clients.
• Support junior engineers as an escalation point for resolution of complex technical issues.
• Collaborate closely with senior leaders, architects, and other engineers to drive the successful delivery of projects and initiatives.
• Contribute significantly to the development of comprehensive SOW (Statement of Work) estimates, taking into account project complexity and technical requirements.
• Design, create, and manage intricate system diagrams and plans, ensuring the scalability, security, and efficiency of systems.
• Assume a leadership role in customer engagement, ensuring project success and forging strong client relationships.
• Act as a seasoned project/account manager for key projects and high-profile clients, ensuring their satisfaction and delivering exceptional results.
• Immerse oneself in understanding client business and technical needs, demonstrating a holistic grasp of requirements.
• Articulate complex technical issues and decisions effectively to Project Managers and Service Delivery Managers, utilizing business language and context.
• Champion proactive monitoring and maintenance strategies for mission-critical production systems, preempting potential issues.
• Play an active role in project planning and contribute to the refinement of project management processes, leveraging years of experience.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Required: In-depth knowledge of leading public cloud service providers: Microsoft Azure, AWS, and others, coupled with hands-on experience. (5 years senior exp)
• Required: Expertise in infrastructure automation, advanced scripting, and PowerShell utilization to streamline operations.

• Possess a proven background in client-facing roles within consulting or managed service provider settings, bolstering the ability to interact effectively with clients and stakeholders.
• Proficiency across diverse operating systems, cutting-edge technologies, enterprise backup and recovery protocols, system performance-monitoring tools, active directory management, and virtualization technologies.
• Demonstrated self-motivation and ability to work autonomously, guiding both individual tasks and team efforts.
• Proven track record of remote work excellence, showcasing the capacity to manage and deliver results regardless of location.
• Deep-rooted passion for technology innovation, accompanied by a strong aptitude for acquiring new skills and advocating the transformative potential of cloud services.
• Exceptional ability to balance competing priorities and collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams to achieve common objectives.
• Expertise in investigating and resolving intricate technical issues, showcasing strong problem-solving skills.
