JOB SUMMARY
The Clinical Director is responsible for the overall management of the clinical and administrative functions of the outpatient treatment programs. This includes ensuring compliance with state regulations, program development, financial management, accreditation standards, program marketing, hiring and supervising staff, and evaluating and developing program policies. Provides supervision and performance review to clinical staff, and coordinates and evaluates all program services. This position will assist the Executive Director in areas of problems solving, conflict resolution, readiness for State inspections and other areas assigned by the Executive Director.
DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Supervises all clinical staff activities, which includes monitoring groups, individual therapy, and charting to maintain the highest standards of quality and effectiveness.
- Acts as the clinical supervisor for counselors including facilitating weekly / biweekly individual and group supervision with each counselor, writing up notes, and assisting counselors in researching and tailoring effective treatment for clients.
- Works with Utilization Review Department to address billing needs.
- Participates in the recruitment and interview process for clinical staff.
- Completes performance evaluations for clinical staff on an annual basis and works with Human Resources on employee performance management throughout the year.
- Provides staff development and training and monitors the compliance of staff credentialing.
- Networks with other organizations to increase the referral base.
- Functions as leader of the multi-disciplinary Clinical Treatment Team.
- Evaluates quality of the clinical programming on an ongoing basis and develops cost-effective methods to provide services.
- Promotes a culture of safety for clients and employees through proper identification, proper reporting, documentation, and prevention of medical errors in environment of Intensive Outpatient Treatment.
- Positively promotes treatment to prospective clients and employees.
