Provo City is seeking a dependable, enthusiastic, and people-oriented individual for a part-time Hockey Instructor position at Peaks Ice Arena. In this role, you'll help players of all ages and skill levels develop their abilities through Learn to Play, Adult Skills, and Street Hockey programs. We're looking for someone who loves the game, enjoys teaching, and is committed to creating a positive and inclusive environment on and off the ice. What is the compensation?
Pay Rate: $10.50 per hour depending upon level of skill and experience. (Payment will be by direct deposit.)

What will I do?
- Instruct participants ages four to adult in ice hockey from the beginning to intermediate level.
- Assist youth Street Hockey league.
- Assist Recreation staff members and perform other related duties as required.
What do I need to apply?
- Sufficient amount of related skill and/or experience which would demonstrate an ability to perform the duties of the job.
- Preference given to candidates who have previously instructed or have ice skating experience.
What are the hours?
Some Weekdays, Evenings, and Saturday shifts. Actual hours to be discussed by hiring manager.

This work requires physical strength and agility to perform the work, including, standing and/or ice skating during instruction and minor bending; the ability to work outside in the cold and other weather conditions; and work with the public in possibly stressful situations.
What is the selection process?
This position is open until filled and will be closed when sufficient, qualified applications to proceed with a competitive selection process have been received (at least seven days). Applications will be reviewed in the order they are submitted. Applicants must meet the minimum qualifications listed above to be eligible for consideration.
If selected for hire, candidate will be required to successfully pass a drug screen and criminal background check. Non-disclosure may result in dismissal. Applicants with unsatisfactory drug screen results will be ineligible for appointment or application to any Provo City position for a minimum period of six (6) months.
