What is the compensation?
Pay Rate: (G30) $2,415.83 - $3,330.26 bi-weekly (depending on qualifications)

What are the main duties? (See the full classification specification

.)- Video record Provo Channel 17 (City government access channel) a variety of multi-length productions and programming.
- Manage, update, or rework ongoing projects or programs.
- Revise and proof all Channel 17 video projects.
- Handle photography shoots including directing and performing on-site photography shoots and editing photographs.
- Monitor, maintain, create projects for, and handle broadcasts on Provo City social media sites.
- Add graphics, closed captioning, and special effects to video.
- Ensure compliance with various copyright laws, decency standards, and other laws, rules, and regulations related to cable access provisions and other audio-visual productions.
- Maintain social media communication and marketing activities for assigned departments.
- Train users on, assist users with, maintain, and troubleshoot a variety of online graphic design and post-production accounts.
- Create basic branding images, flyers, posters, images, and website assets and perform other related duties as required.
What are the minimum requirements?
Provo City honors equivalent combinations of job-related education and/or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities [substituting each 1 year of post-secondary education/training for 6 months of full-time experience].
- Bachelor’s degree in Television, Film, or Broadcast Journalism, Communications, or related field.
- Two (2) years of responsible experience in television production and/or programming development
- A valid, lawful Driver License.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Requires flexible scheduling including evening and weekend hours.
What is the selection process?
Applications will be reviewed in the order they are submitted, with the first screening being held on January 28, 2025. Applicants must meet the minimum qualifications listed above to be eligible for consideration.
If selected for hire, candidate will be required to successfully pass a drug screen and criminal background check. Non-disclosure may result in dismissal. Applicants with unsatisfactory drug screen results will be ineligible for appointment or application to any Provo City position for a minimum period of six (6) months.
