Provo City is seeking a part-time Meal Site Coordinator to assist with the senior (60 ) Congregate Meal Program and the planning and preparation of special senior meals. This position is located in the Provo Recreation Center and requires experience with food service.

What is the compensation?
Pay Rate : $11.00 - $13.00 per hour (depending on experience)

What will I do?
- Supervise daily congregate meal operations.
- Monitor food deliveries and proper transference of food items.
- Plan and prepare special meals as directed.
- Inventory and order necessary supplies and monitor the use of supplies.
- Submit invoices and receipts in a timely manner.
- Recruit, train, and supervise kitchen volunteers (assign duties, serving and clean up, record hours worked).
- Maintain all health, safety and sanitation standards as directed by the Health Department.
- Observe Provo City Recreation Center policies and procedures.
- Maintain proper cleanliness of kitchen, dining room tables and settings.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of kitchen equipment and supplies.
- Show interest in and communicate with meal participants.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

What are the hours?
This position is 10 : 30 a.m. to 1 : 30 p.m. Monday through Friday, with occasional additional hours as needed.
What are the physical and environmental factors?
This work requires physical strength and agility to perform the work including lifting pans and food containers up to thirty pounds, and frequent bending, stooping, and reaching. Considerable standing and walking is also required.
What is the selection process?
Applications will be reviewed in the order they are submitted, with the first screening being held on February 19, 2025 Applicants must meet the minimum qualifications listed above to be eligible for consideration.
If selected for hire, candidate will be required to successfully pass a drug screen and criminal background check. Non-disclosure may result in dismissal. Applicants with unsatisfactory drug screen results will be ineligible for appointment or application to any Provo City position for a minimum period of six (6) months.
