          How we collaborate

At Provoc, we partner strategically with our clients and colleagues to produce accessible, strategic, modern design work. A fully remote company, our team works through Slack, Basecamp, and Zoom to collaborate live and asynchronously with each other and clients. Most of the company is U.S.-based, with our primary designers based in Europe (generally working until 1-2:30 p.m. ET). Depending on the scope of the project, contract designers may be either client-facing or internal-facing only.

          Ideal Provoc design collaborators:

          • Understand and consider equity in the design process, such as accessible and inclusive design standards, cultural competency and humility in reaching different audiences, addressing bias and stereotypes in image selection, and more.
          • Bridge design and strategy, including translating strategy or messages developed by others into a design language or product, articulating the strategic choices behind design recommendations with a client, engaging clients through a design direction and process, and consulting throughout multiple phases of a project on design considerations or implications.
          • Bridge vocabulary gaps with colleagues and clients with patience and a goal of reaching shared understanding.
          • Are comfortable producing many ideas quickly while remaining objective and open to new ideas.
          • Are able to workshop ideas and design updates live with clients.
          • Self-start, take initiative, and are accountable to timelines and commitments.
