What are the responsibilities and job description for the Entry Level CNC Programmer position at Provost Fabrication?
We are looking for a CNC Programmer who is also proficient in working with Rhino, Autodesk Inventor or Fusion 360 to work with our team of Designers and Skilled craftspeople to aid in the integration of product design for specific vacuum formed projects. We offer top of the line vacuum form and other fabrication solutions to the entertainment and attraction industry. Drafter responsibilities include gathering drawings and specifications, calculating material and equipment requirements and setting up production methods. Drafter will be required to assist in the fabrication shop for a temporary period to learn the methods surrounding the vacuum forming process. If you have hands-on experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software , CNC Programming are familiar with building processes and are eager to apply those skills in a non-typical industry that is constantly changing we would love to meet with you. Ultimately, you’ll help us build functional, secure and well-designed products and structures that meet our needs.
Responsibilities
- Liaise with Project Manager and Fabrication shop the specifics of all products.
- Calculate dimensions, adjust files and assess necessary materials
- Create detailed designs with computer-aided design (CAD) software
- Prepare and review rough sketches and review them along with the design team
- Identify potential operational issues and redesign products to improve functionality
- Ensure final designs comply with regulations and quality standards
- Assist in the fabrication shop to experience and learn machine functions and limitaitons
Skills
- CNC Machine Programming
- Proven work experience as a Drafter or similar role
- Hands-on experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software
- Familiarity with 3D modeling tools
- Good math skills
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Additional certification from the American Design Drafting Association (ADDA) is a plus

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
