Certification Details BLS Job Details Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) will work as part of a team to provide physical therapy service under the direction and supervision of the physical therapist. The PTA will implement selected components of patient / client interventions, obtain data related to the interventions provided, and make modifications in selected interventions either to progress the patient / client as directed by the physical therapist or to ensure patient / client safety and comfort. PTAs assist the physical therapist in the treatment of individuals of all ages, from newborns to the elderly, who have medical problems or other health-related conditions that limit their abilities to move and perform functional activities in their daily lives. Job Requirements Must be a graduate of and have a certificate from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. Must be currently credentialed by Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies, Division of Professions and Occupations, State Physical Therapy Board. Must have verification card of current instruction in BLS. Minimum of two (2) years of experience primarily outpatient experience preferred.
