YOUR IMPACT

We are currently seeking an outstanding candidate to fill the position of Head of German Policy. In this role, you will work with the Proxima team on a wide variety of topics to develop and maintain relationships with governments in Germany at the state and federal level, as well as industry partners and other relevant stakeholders. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable and adept at navigating the public policy landscape in Germany, with relevant experience in securing public funding for large-scale projects.

• Ensure that the policy and funding priorities for Proxima are cohesively crafted and communicated in a compelling fashion to the highest levels of German governmental and political bodies;
• Carry out research and craft memos, white papers, and policy proposals related to regulation and funding opportunities for fusion energy development;
• Monitor and analyze policy developments related to fusion energy at German federal and state level;
• Promote and coordinate the participation of Proxima Fusion at government hearings, public forums, and industry conferences;
• Contribute to sourcing of public funding opportunities;
• Develop proposals and other material for public funding applications.

• It is important not to be afraid to experiment, take risks and learn from mistakes. We believe in continuous iterations and getting things done.
• Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, International Relations, Law, Economics or related fields, or STEM field. Master's degree preferred
• Extensive experience in public policy, government relations, or partnership development, with a strong preference for German federal and state-level engagements
• Willingness to travel, as required
• Fluency in German and English
