Summary:
The Chicago Math Tutor will work in collaboration with our Chicago area schools. The tutor is responsible for instruction in small groups with a focus on closing the achievement gap and building a stronger academic foundation.
Education and Experience:
- Experience working with students either as a teacher, tutor or as a resource personnel
- Understand the need for accurate PLI record keeping and documentation in a timely manner
- Develop lesson plans based on the Title I curriculum
- Ability to motivate students daily attendance
- Develop and demonstrate strategies for extending class instruction
- Communicate with PLI management, Title I coordinator, school staff and parents on student progress and Title I activities.
- Ability to teach SAT Prep classes
- The flexibility to work as a Title I team member and school faculty member
- Adhere to all Proximity Learning, Inc timelines and expectations
- Understand the need to complete Title I forms in their entirety and adhere to Title I guidelines and compliance requirements.
Job Expectation:
Must live in the Chicagoland area
Must have own Transportation
Be willing to work between 20 to 40 hours per week.
Position could lead to full-time employment with benefits and off during all recognized Holidays and during the summer
