Job Title: Enrichment Specialist Teacher: Credit Recovery/Tutoring
Location: Greenfield HS and King City HS
Position Summary: Implementing clubs and ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment during after-school hours. Documenting accurate records of student attendance and collaborating with the Proyouth site leadership to ensure student participating in ProYouth’s snack process and check out process.
Primary Role and Responsibilities Support student mastery of new skills through project-based learning Promote and maintain a culture of safety and well-being with students Ensure that activities are age-appropriate, engaging and exciting to students Establish clear, consistent expectations for behavior and positive discipline Ensure that every student feels known, accepted, valued and respected Build and maintain a high level of trust through effective communication methods Strong classroom management skills Comply with the ProYouth Employee Handbook and other Policies and Procedures. Address issues, concerns, and challenges to immediate supervisor. Build positive and professional relationships with coworkers, supervisors, ProYouth executive and administrative staff, site principal, teachers and parents. Exhibit professional behavior that reflects positively on ProYouth’s policies and practices. Communicate with transparency. Support and demonstrate commitment to the ProYouth vision and goals at all times. Be a positive role model, and lead through mentoring and coaching students. Link activities with positive youth development outcomes. Focus on Common Core expectations by providing ongoing opportunities for students to work collaboratively, solve problems, make decisions, and think critically. Use positive discipline rather than punitive approaches. Be detailed oriented and have excellent communication skills. Develop and maintain mutually supportive relationships with ProYouth. Work closely with all colleagues to develop a high-performing team. Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned. Use conversation, group discussion, games, academic coaching, behavior management techniques and other approaches to achieve prescribed goals. Maintain the highest level of confidentiality in all matters relating to students.

Education and Experience Must possess a valid California Teaching Credential One or more years of related experience working directly with students
General Requirements Must be at least 18 years of age or older. Must pass a DOJ/FBI background check. Must receive TB clearance. Must pass pre-employment drug screening. If using personal vehicle for travel and transportation of supplies, a valid California Driver License and proof of adequate auto insurance coverage is required
