Job Description: Program Leader I (Santa Lucia Elementary)
Location: King City, CA, 93930
Primary Role and Responsibilities
- Support student mastery of new skills through project-based learning
- Maintain a culture of safety and well-being with students in both the classroom and outdoor setting
- Establish clear, consistent expectations for behavior and positive discipline.
- Ensure that every student feels known, accepted, valued and respected.
- Build and maintain a high level of trust through effective communication methods.
- Model and promote the mission and values of ProYouth through appropriate appearance, words and actions.
- Monitors individual and/or groups of students in a variety of settings (e.g., classroom, playground, library, etc.) for the purpose of enforcing school and ProYouth expectations and procedures regarding student behavior and participation and/or providing a safe, respectful and positive learning environment.
- Work in conjunction with the Site Director and all program staff to ensure that activities are exciting and relevant to youth as well as well-thought out and organized.
- Address issues, concerns, and challenges to immediate supervisor
- Build and maintain a high level of trust through effective communication methods.
- Model and promote the mission and values of ProYouth through appropriate appearance, words and actions.
- Build positive and professional relationships with coworkers, supervisors, ProYouth executive and administrative staff

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree is preferred,
- High School diploma or equivalent AND
- 48 completed College Units OR
- NCLB Paraprofessional Certification
- A minimum of two years’ experience working with youth is desirable
General Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
- Must pass a DOJ/FBI background check.
- Must receive TB clearance.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
