About the Role
As an Assistant Superintendent, you will support the on-site operations of K-12 construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. You will work closely with project managers and senior superintendents, learning from experienced leaders while overseeing daily activities on the job site. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills and advance to a Superintendent role in the near future.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with on-site project supervision, ensuring work is progressing according to schedule and within scope.
- Help manage daily activities of subcontractors and crew, ensuring quality, safety, and productivity.
- Collaborate with project managers to track progress and maintain project schedules.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards, particularly for K-12 school construction projects.
- Assist with coordinating deliveries, inspections, and project closeout.
- Foster positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Develop your leadership abilities to eventually transition into a Superintendent role.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in the construction industry, ideally with exposure to K-12 school projects.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, project scheduling, and quality control.
- Proven ability to manage job site operations, supervise subcontractors, and maintain a safe work environment.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Desire to grow into a Superintendent role with increasing responsibility.
- A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
