Golden Valley Electric Association (GVEA) is looking for an energetic individual as our Public Relations Specialist as part of the Member Services Team located in Fairbanks, Alaska. This full-time position earns a competitive starting wage of $33.62 hourly. A day in the life of the Public Relations Specialist can look like :
- Be responsible for supporting the Public Relations Department with internal and external communication efforts that are driven by GVEA’s mission and strategic directives.
- Ensure that members and employees are well-informed and connected to their cooperative by guaranteeing timely, accurate and consistent communication.
- Promote a positive and professional corporate image.
- Use problem solving skills to research and write for a range of platforms including articles, news releases, brochures, member letters, newsletters, speeches, social media posts, internal reports and television and radio scripts.
- Support internal celebrations and external special events including the Annual Members’ Meeting, Cooperative Month, volunteer efforts and others.
