Youll work closely with our Nursery Manager and when theyre away youll confidently take the reins ensuring smooth sailing across all aspects of nursery operations. A Day in the Life of a Forest Guardian :
Picture this : the sun rises over rows of vibrant seedlings their emerald hues painting a breathtaking canvas. As our Nursery Supervisor you report to our Nursery Manager and will have a significant impact in overseeing every state of the seedling journey from germination to harvest. Youll be involved in the strategic planning and implementation of seed stratification sowing fertilization irrigation crop management and harvest.
- Seedling Production Planning : Collaborate with the Nursery Manager to develop and implement strategies for seed stratification sowing irrigation and fertilization.
- Growth & Development Management : Oversee all cultural activities involved in seedling production including irrigation management nutrient application and pest control.
- Harvest Hero : Lead inventory management customer communication and logistics for fall harvest and seedling shipments.
- Team Leader & Talent Scout : Supervise and mentor a skilled team including contract labor fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Facility & Equipment Guru : Ensure the proper maintenance of nursery facilities and equipment to maximize efficiency and safety.
- Inventory Ace : Track and finalize seedling inventory ensuring accurate recordkeeping using our proprietary inventory management system.
- Logistics Coordinator : Coordinate all seedling shipments including refrigerated van rentals.
- Customer Champion : Build and maintain strong relationships with customers ensuring timely communication and excellent service.
- Safety Advocate : Enforce safe work practices and promote a culture of safety consciousness.
