ABOUT THE ROLE:

We're seeking a highly motivated and experienced Power Platform Developer to join our dynamic IT team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our data infrastructure. Reporting directly to the CTO, you will have significant visibility and the opportunity to make a real difference across our 27 nurseries throughout North America. This is more than just a job; it's a chance to be a change agent, driving our IT mandate to adapt, automate, and modernize, ultimately boosting productivity across the entire organization.

As our Power Platform Developer, you will be the driving force behind the development and maintenance of our cutting-edge data ecosystem. You will leverage your expertise in Power BI and PowerApps to design, build, and deploy solutions that empower our teams with the data they need to succeed. This includes collaborating closely with Sales, Finance, HR, and Nursery Operations leaders to understand their unique data requirements and translate them into robust, user-friendly applications and insightful reports. You'll also partner with KPMG, our IT knowledge partner, during the initial stages of Power Apps development and knowledge transfer, before taking full ownership of the platform.

WHO YOU ARE:

You are a highly skilled Power Platform Developer, a data enthusiast passionate about turning raw data into actionable insights. A problem-solver and collaborator, you excel at building and deploying successful data solutions using Power BI and PowerApps. You're a strong communicator, translating business needs into technical requirements and explaining complex concepts clearly. Proactive and strategic, you thrive in fast-paced environments, leveraging technology to drive business impact. You're a data champion, empowering organizations to make better decisions through data-driven insights.

WHAT YOU LL DO:

• Data Architect & Integrator: Design and manage ETL processes, seamlessly integrating diverse data sources into our core data infrastructure. You'll ensure data quality, accuracy, and timeliness, laying the foundation for informed decision-making.
• Power BI Maestro: Craft interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI, transforming complex data into compelling visualizations that tell a story. You'll optimize existing data models for performance and implement best practices for data modeling and visualization.
• PowerApps Visionary: Develop and maintain innovative PowerApps that streamline business processes and empower our teams. From ideation to deployment, you'll collaborate with stakeholders to build solutions that meet their specific needs and enhance their workflows.
• Data Storyteller: Analyze data and generate actionable insights through compelling reports. You'll proactively identify opportunities to enhance existing reports and dashboards based on user feedback and evolving business requirements.
• Collaborative Partner: Work closely with KPMG during the initial stages of Power Apps development and knowledge transfer, before taking full ownership of the platform. You'll also partner with third-party vendors to integrate external data sources and tools, and provide training and support to end-users on Power BI and PowerApps.
• Consultative Leader: Act as a trusted advisor, consulting with cross-functional teams (Sales, Finance, HR, and Nursery Operations) regarding their Power Systems needs and their integration with existing platforms like UKG, ERP, and CRM systems.

WHAT YOU BRING:

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
• 5 years of proven experience as a Power Platform Developer or in a similar role.
• Deep understanding of Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and data modeling.
• Demonstrated experience in PowerApps development.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory.
• Familiarity with SQL and database management.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and third-party vendors.
• Relevant certifications in Power BI or data analytics.

Bonus Points:

• Experience with Azure Data Services or other cloud-based data solutions.
• Knowledge of data visualization best practices and user experience design.
