General Definition of Work
Performs intermediate skilled technical work ensuring the provision of effective and high-quality Transportation Demand Management (TDM) services throughout PRTC’s established service area, representing the interests of PRTC and its constituents in a variety of forums and planning efforts, executing PRTC’s employer services program, maintaining records and files, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the general direction of the Chief Development Officer and Manager of Mobility Services. Supervision is exercised over the Rideshare Specialist.

Manages daily operations of the OmniRide Rideshare Program; ensures accurate and timely information about regional rideshare options are provided to all program applicants; ensures the accurate entry of prospective client data into the database; troubleshoots ridesharing database malfunctions with third party as necessary.
Manages the OmniRide Employer Outreach Program, including meeting with employers to promote alternative commute programs, promoting and administering employer surveys, and representing PRTC at Chamber of Commerce Economic Development, Policy, Hispanic and Education/Workforce Committee meetings.
Provides monthly program activity reports to the Director of Operations and Operations Planning and Chief Development Officer and produces monthly and quarterly analysis of the rideshare program for Virginia Department of Rail and Public Transportation (VDRPT).
Administers the Van Start, Van Save and Personal Property Relief programs; ensures information is accurate and is in the correct format; ensures that state requirements for the program are met and that program applicants receive timely assistance.
Represents PRTC on the COG Ride Matching Committee, Employer Outreach Committee, Commuter Connections Subcommittee, and in regional TDM planning efforts, including attendance at quarterly COG meetings, participation in COG committee working groups, and attendance at regional Department of Transportation (DOT), Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), and VDRPT meetings.
Represents PRTC at local and regional events such as transportation fairs, farmers markets, community resource events, and Chamber of Commerce events.
Runs two OmniRide mobility councils, Hispanic and Employer.
Provides recommendations on hiring, terminating, promoting/demoting, suspending, and adjusting grievances; assigns, leads, trains, and inspects the work of staff; rewards and discipline; coaches, counsels, and evaluates staff performance; develops staff schedules; ensures deadlines for the department are met; supervises daily operations.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in transportation or urban planning, business, project management, or related field and considerable experience in customer service, transit or transportation operations, implementing Transportation Demand Management concepts and practices with management or supervisory experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special Qualifications
Valid driver's license in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Working Conditions
