Your manager will provide additional details relative to the specific number of days you are expected to be on-site Associate Actuary (Model Development and Software Development) What you can expect: This role will support Global Capabilities to design, develop, test, and deliver actuarial modeling solutions. We support numerous use-cases for these modeling solutions, including Valuation, Pricing, Forecasting, and Capital Optimization. Our team is collaborating with several cross-functional teams to stand up a new modeling platform as a key part of the Financial Management organization’s broader transformational effort. The initial focus will be on building a more efficient forecasting process to support individual business units, eventually expanding to supporting the enterprise. Responsibilities: Support the build and re-design of a forecast process • Reduce reliance on manual interventions and cross-team dependencies • Enable ad-hoc forecasting capability to any customer/consumer • Enhance forecast reporting to enable capital planning decisions • Ensure solutions meet model governance standards and best practices Implement solutions in an end-to-end architecture (Eureka! platform) • Design and develop data transformation processes, workflow automation, post-model calculations, and results analysis tools using Python code • Evaluate and recommend actuarial methodology, simplifications, and approximations • Develop within a CI/CD framework to ensure scalability and future changes • Coordinate frequent releases to enable value delivery Collaborate with business and technology partners to implement scalable architecture • Test end-to-end capabilities to ensure coverage internal reporting needs, including sensitivity and attribution runs • Extend the platform to cover new use-cases and capabilities • Identify business needs, propose solutions, and define execution plans • Solutions are transparently documented What you’ll need: Required- • Bachelor’s Degree • Progress made towards an actuarial credential • 2 years of experience in actuarial work (valuation, forecasting, capital management) • Experience with software engineering or constructing/evaluating actuarial models • Familiarity with agile methodologies and eagerness to partner with stakeholders It’d be a plus if you had: • Understanding of asset and liability management processes and models • Knowledge of US insurance financial reporting and regulatory framework • Open to remote/virtual location At Prudential, you can: Take charge of your career. What we offer you: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $118,700.00 to $176,600.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Market competitive base salaries, with a yearly bonus potential at every level.
