Job Classification: Finance & Accounting - Finance & Accounting Prudential Financial Inc.’s (PFI) Open Architecture Solutions (OAS) team is seeking a skilled and highly motivated individual to fulfill the role of Manager, Financial Reporting for Lotus Reinsurance Company Ltd. (Lotus Re) based in the U.S. and reporting to the OAS Director, Controller. This position will coordinate and support many of the controllership and financial reporting activities for Lotus Re, a Bermuda based affiliated reinsurance company. Lotus Re expands PFI’s presence in Bermuda with the primary purpose of assuming risk from PFI’s US businesses in support of enterprise objectives of producing more economic outcomes for certain products and liabilities, while remaining anchored in our guiding principles of maintaining focus on all of our stakeholders and looking to improve outcomes for existing and new policyholders. Lotus Re activities support external presentations as well as developing and providing internal management reporting perspective. This area is highly visible and involves partnering with Actuarial, CIO, ALM, Investment Ops, and several corporate areas (Controllers, Tax). This area also provides significant support to external and internal auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits. The successful candidate will coordinate all aspects of the monthly, quarterly, and annual Lotus Re financial results. The position offers the candidate an excellent opportunity to develop and utilize their leadership skills and provides the opportunity to implement process improvements. What you can expect: Analyze trends and variances within the various lines of the income statements and balance sheets while ensuring the financial statements are well controlled, timely and accurate. Work closely with Financial Services Organization (FSO) teams to ensure accurate manual entries into the Oracle ledger. Analysis of Lotus Re financial results on a quarterly and annual basis to support the local Bermuda reporting requirements. The financial results are prepared on several different basis of accounting including U.S. GAAP Audited Fair Value Option and local Bermuda requirements. Support the actuals reporting for Lotus Re standalone US GAAP financials, statutory financials, and Economic Balance Sheet (EBS). Coordinate the compilation of the Capital and Solvency Return (CSR), which includes the Bermuda Solvency Capital Requirement (BSCR) and associated Schedules. Coordinate the compilation of audited US GAAP financials and Bermuda statutory financials. Support any potential future reinsurance transactions that Prudential may decide to pursue. Working closely with external auditors to complete the annual US GAAP and local Bermuda SFS audited statements. What you’ll need: Bachelor’s degree with a major in Accounting or Finance. Minimum of 5-8 years of relevant work experience. Strong understanding of US GAAP and/or Statutory accounting and reporting. Proven ability to manage multiple deliverables and meet deadlines under challenging time frames. Strong collaborative, communication and partnering skills. Ability to manage through ambiguity. Ability to work overtime during peak periods. It’d be a plus if you have: Advanced degree, MBA, or CPA. Experience managing reports and/or shared resources. Strong analytical skills and the ability to pay close attention to detail. Innovation mindset with the willingness to challenge the status quo. The salary range for this role is from $118,700.00 to $176,600.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
